Are you fed up of being single? Are you waiting for prince charming to appear this very second and sweep you off your feet? OR are you already in a relationship and the romance factor hasn’t quite lived up your expectations? Thanks to Disney and Hollywood a large amount of us desire to live out our very own fairy tale; some have experienced this and others are still waiting *ahem checks watch*. Which-ever category you fall into i want to remind you that we all are part of the greatest fairy tale EVER! Here’s how:
Once upon a time…
There was a fallen world full of disaster, destruction and disarray, because of Satan, the evil one. Satan had convinced the sons and daughters of God (us), to turn away from the good ways of Father God and to live for evil. The Father looked down from heaven hurt and disappointed that he was separated from his children; he didn’t want this, so he came up with a plan…
God loved his sons and daughters so deeply, that he decided to sacrifice his one and only son to take on the weight of their sins. There would be no one who would be exempt from the atonement of the blood shed of The Son. The power of this love was stronger than anyone could ever imagine NOTHING could separate the Father from his love for them.
John 3:16 For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The son’s name was Jesus, a hero, he came to earth with mighty compassion and super saving grace. He willingly gave his life for all so that the Father’s will would be done; to restore us back to him and defeat Satan. Jesus died but he rose on the 3rd day because he was so perfect.
Galatians 1:4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.
Happily ever after
Because of our hero, Jesus, who died in our place we now have eternal life, a real happily ever after. A place with no more sorrow, pain and where all the kingdoms will live in harmony.
Revelation 21:4-6 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Isaiah 11:16 In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together; the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all.
This is the ultimate love story, no human love could even come close! This love is not exclusive but inclusive of all! Human marriages are insignificant to this love story that they are no longer significant in eternity.
Matthew 22:29-33 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
You might read this and think, this is nice, sweet or frankly a bit cheesy, but the truth is this is the greatest love. This love is available now and forever, it’s everlasting . YOU are loved so much that YOU were died for, the ultimate sacrifice of love. Even existing or future love stories will fall short of this love. So next time you find yourself desiring to be part of a fairytale, remember you are already part of one!
